As soon as you enter the atelier, there is a sense of heritage that strikes the senses - French and Chinese antiques attest to cherished objects that withstand time and convey a soulfulness; fragranced products from the oldest French candlemaker and oldest Italian pharmacy mix with the Lan Jaenicke scented candle, made from pure coconut oil, and her signature perfume, based on the scent of scholars’ ink; copious amounts of lavender and flowers add to the impression of a transcendent space that exists outside of time. An array of Lan Jaenicke pieces adorn the walls, hanging from suspended bamboo crossbars.
