Series No. 25: A Wearable Landscape
We’re delighted to debut Lan Jaenicke Series No. 25. With this collection, Lan furthers her exploration of natural textiles and dye processes. Handcrafted entirely of Japanese fabrics, Series No. 25 features elegant Kimono and column dresses, as well as clean modern shirting and lightweight, flowing skirts. The collection is cultivated in fresh hues of saturated pink, soft yellow, and pale purple balanced by our very first indigo pieces, which are very grounding. Encompassing all the elements of a garden–earth, water, sky–the collection is a wearable poetic landscape that is perfect for summer.

Column Dress in Charmeuse Celadon
Lan recently traveled to Mie Prefecture Japan to participate in the ancient, indigo hand-dyeing process, called Ai. Raw fabrics ranging from silk to triple-gauze cotton are now saturated in hues from cloudless blue sky to deep midnight.

Qipao Blouse in Silk Organza Ai Dye, Kimono Top in 2-ply Silk Crepe Ai Dye
Series No. 25 invites you to mix and match a range of textures and colors to great effect: a muted indigo top renders the sheen of a silk dress all the more radiant, like rays breaking through a cloud. Pair a playful Qipao Blouse with trousers for a sculptural silhouette, or create textural interest by pairing a Seersucker Work Shirt with a radiant Silk Charmeuse Column Skirt. The collection invites artful arrangement.

We warmly invite you to Atelier Lan Jaenicke and Maison Lan Jaenicke to step into these lyrical new pieces, and to discover them online.
