Lan Jaenicke introduces the Unisex Heavyweight Cashmere Crewneck, a substantial classic crewneck individually made in Japan from 100% cashmere. Knitted in a middle 7-gauge plain stitch, it has a warm, substantial hand while remaining exceptionally soft against bare skin. The cashmere is washable, allowing the sweater to be machine washed at home.
Each piece is made by skilled knitters in Iwate Prefecture, in Japan’s Tohoku region. Rather than mass produced, each garment is individually knitted and finished using the precise technique of linking, joining each piece stitch by stitch by hand to create smooth, supple seams that rest gently against the skin.
