When the Sun Is Ready

Series No. 27 takes its name from a phrase heard throughout the making of the collection. Many of the textiles are created through processes guided by nature rather than a production schedule. Repeated cycles of washing, dyeing, stretching, steaming, and drying beneath the open sky allow each material to develop its own character. When asked when a fabric would be ready, the answer was often simple: when the sun is ready.

That simple response became the philosophy behind the collection.

Bringing together heritage textiles from Japan and China alongside fabrics developed exclusively for the house, Series No. 27 reflects a belief that the finest things cannot be rushed. Reversible construction, considered tailoring, and timeless silhouettes are designed to reveal the character of each material while creating garments that transcend seasons.

Every piece is made to order and crafted by hand, allowing the time and attention each garment deserves. Created from exceptional materials and made especially for its wearer, each garment is intended to be worn, treasured, and lived in for years to come.
